Lunch in a Classroom

Class 302 serves Taiwanese comfort food in dining rooms built to look like an elementary school classroom in Taiwan, down to the wooden desks used as tables. Three locations are open: Downey, Cerritos, and Jamboree Road in Irvine.

Food

The menu covers bento plates, beef noodle soup, braised pork over rice, popcorn chicken, basil fried rice, wonton noodle soup, congee, Taiwanese sausage and stinky tofu, plus sizzling plates of beef or chicken with corn and vegetables. Portions are big; one plate can make two meals.

Shaved Snow and Boba

Shaved snow is the other draw: feathery shaved milk ice piled with mango, strawberry, red bean, taro, mochi or pudding, and drizzled with condensed milk. The mango version is a favorite.

Boba is self-serve. Choose a cup, add as many toppings as you like from the bar, fill it with milk tea, slush or fruit tea, and the cashier seals it. You can taste flavors before you choose.

Before You Go

Downey and Cerritos open at 11 AM and close at 10 PM, Downey staying until 11 PM on Friday and Saturday. The Irvine location is open from 11 AM to 11 PM every day. Each location has its own phone number on the locations page.
